PTA NEWS - Update from September Meeting:

Otis Brock, director of operations for Savannah-Chatham County Schools announced that the district has committed to transforming our playground, in a big way. Artificial turf to replace the the dirt field, new playground equipment, as well as a new sign out front. Plus, if ESPLOST is passed again in November, more capital improvements are on the way for Ellis!

This was unexpected, incredible news and a special thank you goes to Mr. Brock, district 1 school board rep Julie Wade, Mr. Charles and Ellis parents Shauna Kucera and Gene Maria for making it happen.

We encourage everyone to put their passion to work through the PTA because at the meeting we were shown that dedication to a common cause can accomplish great things.

SCCPS Announces mylunchmoney.com

This is an on-line prepayment system that parents can use to place money on their child’s meal account. The process will allow students to move swiftly thru the serving lines for breakfast and lunch and if the students are wearing their lunch card with them to the cafeteria.

DINE OUT FOR ELLIS  -  Barbarito's Nights are Back!

The kind people of Barbarito's are terrific supporters of Charles Ellis Montessori!   On the first Tuesday of every month, they will be giving us 20% of ALL the sales from the evening - from 5 pm until close.   All you have to do is eat there! Encourage family, friends and neighbors to eat there on those nights. MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW and make it a point to Eat out for Ellis!
